Not only are we back from Hawaii, but I promise I am truly back to blogging (I know, I know, I’ve promised this before, but this time it’s for reals). I’m not behind the lens very often, and these photos do nothing to hide this fact. We joke that I have a great eye but no ability to retain info on how to manually adjust a camera.
But I kinda sorta do like how these came out. It was during a family outing to Lumahai Beach on the north shore of Kauai. My pops really wanted to revisit this beach because it’s the scene of my mom losing the rental car keys over 31 years ago on their honeymoon. We didn’t find the keys, but we did find a nice little trail in place of the jagged rocks that they clambered over three decades ago.
The water was insanely clear and blue and inviting. This is the beach where South Pacific the movie was filmed. (For whatever reason, my dad also loves this little tidbit to complement the honeymoon story.) Don’t you want to just dive in? Stay tuned for some more Hawaii stories to come. Happy Friday!
